A superb quality George III silver salver made in London in 1801 by Thomas Hannam and John Crouch.

The salver is of circular form and has a bold gadroon border and stands on three conforming feet.

It is beautifully engraved with the coat of arms of The Earls of Ranfurly (Knox family) and is in excellent condition. The weight for its size is far superior to normal.

Along with the hallmarks it is struck with the number 1 and it’s original scratch weight of 19 ozs 17 pennyweights.

The Earls of Ranfurly is the last Earldom in Ireland created that is still extant.
