A very fine and rare George III Silver Gilt cast snuff box made in London in 1808 by Joseph Ash.
This exceptional cast example is broad rectangular in form and is decorated all over with bead and arrow head design, within a plain frame. This was a design made popular in the workshops of Joseph Ash who was a very fine box maker. The interior displays excellent gilding and this piece is fully marked on the bezel and with the sterling mark and date letter on the cover.
