A very fine Georgian silver sugar/sweet basket made by Peter and Ann Bateman of London in 1791.The boat shape (navette shape) basket stands on an oval foot and has reeded borders and a swing handle.The interior is richly gilded and the basket is finely engraved with the original owners family crest to one side.It is in beautiful condition.
