A rare George III Silver Acorn Caddy Spoon made in London in 1810 by Elizabeth Morley.
The finest of the acorn caddy spoons were made in London by Elizabeth Morley, however examples are rare.
The large bowl is finely modelled and engraved with trellis work to simulate the shape of the acorn.
The handle has a shaped edge and is engraved with palm work and a set of contemporary script initials.
Acorns, together with the hand and eagle's wing are one of the rarest designs of Caddy Spoons.
A similar example, by Elizabeth Morley, is shown on Plate 97 of 'Caddy Spoons' by Captain John Norie.
