A George III Sauceboat made in Newcastle in 1774 by John Langlands I.

The Sauceboat stands on three hoof feet which are attached to the main body with stylised shell mouldings.

The elongated main body has a shaped rim and pronounced pouring spout.

This piece is engraved on each side with a set of contemporary script initials.

The Sauceboat has a scroll handle, decorated with leaf capping, and is very well marked on the base.

The design of this piece, certainly has a Provincial feet to it.
