Highly collectable GEORGE III NEWCASTLE Sterling Silver Fiddle Pattern Oyster Fork.
Maker:  REID & SONS. Newcastle 1819.

The oyster fork has a simple but elegant design and is sturdy enough to tackle most shellfish and small enough to fit in a collectors pocket.
The full set of hallmarks are very clearly stamped while the maker's mark is somewhat rubbed.
This fork would make a welcomed gift.
