A superb George III figured mahogany extending dining table, of flexible configuration constructed from fine well figured mahogany. The table features a large elongated supporting centre pedestal which is tucked well under and does not interfere with diners legs. In its smallest configuration the table can be used with the two ends and one leaf installed, when used like this it is 74” long and would comfortably seat 6 diners. A further 4 leaves can be added one at a time, as many as required, until the maximum length of 160” is reached, in this maximum configuration the table could comfortably sit 14 people.

The leaves are made out of solid pieces of figure mahogany, with a double moulded edge. The centre support is a large rectangular quad legged platform base with four turned tapering columns. The additional typical Gillows style tapering fluted legs can be screwed in for extra support when 2 or more leaves are installed on the table. The leaves and clips are stored in specially made boxes under the table top. A really fabulous quality table throughout.
