An extremely rare George III Concentric Silver Snuff Box made in London in 1807 by Joseph Ash I.

As with vinaigrettes, concentric Snuff Boxes are rare. This example is circular in form and is decorated all over with crisp concentric designs. The cover displays a raised thumb piece and the interior exceptional gilding and crisp marks.

Joseph Ash produced Snuff Boxes and Vinaigrettes of innovative design and exceptional quality, during this period. He operated from workshops at 3, Angel Street, Butcher Hall Lane, when this box was made. As you will appreciate, the concentric design has a modern contemporary feel to it.

Diameter: 2.45 inches, 6.13 cm.
Height: 0.65 inches, 1.63 cm.
