A handsome George II period burr elm kneehole desk: the top is beautifully quarter veneered in burr elm, featherbanded and crossbanded in walnut and burr elm; having one long drawer above a central cupboard door set within the kneehole which is flanked by banks of three graduated drawers; raised on ogee bracket feet. The desk retains a superb colour and patination and the drawers retain their original swan neck handles and rococo escutcheons.
