This superb George II Antique Silver Tankard is of baluster shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The body has been later chased, c 1830, with floral and foliate sprays including a vacant cartouche to one side.
This tankard is fitted with an impressive opposing scroll handle with a chased leaf decorated thumbpiece and scrolling lower terminal.
