A fine and rare early eighteenth century oil and vinegar cruet made in c1725 by John Le Sage of London. The cruet is of high quality as one would expect of Le Sage who was subordinate goldsmith to George I and is in excellent condition . The cruet bears the original owners family crest and is engraved on the cruet and to the silver lids of the cut glass bottles.A fine piece by an important maker. The makers mark is struck three times to the base indicating it was made as a private commission for an important client.
