Most unusual dwarf mahogany Georgian Wheel Barometer; the 'swan-neck' pediment over finely patinated case, inset with engraved silvered brass bow-fronted mercury Fahrenheit thermometer and rare 4 inch diameter main dial, signed by the maker.
Davis was a most competent instrument maker who was regularly commissioned to make a wide range of instruments for the Yorkshire gentry.
