A French ormolu mounted Bonheur du Jour of good proportions inset with finely painted French porcelain plaques. The upper cabinet has shelves and glazed doors for display, while the lower cabinet hides shelves for storage and a secret privacy compartment for documents, that the writing slope will deposit into, upon closure.
