French Brass Candlesticks.
Circa 1780
The large French brass candlesticks are of circular form each with a hollow base and fluted column. Each with a detachable nozzle. The candlesticks have a good heavy weight. The hollow foot is flared with a central band of leaves a design that is repeated around the lower section of the sconce. The central column is reeded as is the upper section of the foot. Beading is present around the nozzle, the top of the central column, and around the lower foot. The stem or the column can be unscrewed.
