A FLUORITE TABLE TOP ON A PAINTED AND PARCEL GILT BASE.
The base Italian, probably Papal States, Circa 1800.
The top likely from Derbyshire England.
The exquisite inset fluorite top with a diamond shaped central motif and cross-grained border veneered onto a slate base. The green painted and parcel gilt base with a moulded gallery above a panelled frieze with inset circular tapering legs to each corner. The reeded re-entrant capitals above a series of leaf carved giltwood mouldings leading to plain green painted turnings and reeded feet.
