A stylish pair of brass and black glass etagere / side tables in the Louis XVI style attributed to Maison Bagues.

French Circa 1940’s

Having acorn finials and three black glass tiers, supported by reeded tubular supports with x-frame ends, terminating on finely tapered feet.

Wonderful quality and design which point to Maison Bagues being the maker of these stylish pair of tables.

Will work very well in a contemporary setting as well as traditional.

Baguès was born in Auvergne around 1840 and became famous internationally as a creator of art lighting. In the beginning it specialised in liturgical bronze and the company quickly developed by the end of the 19th century thanks to bronze lighting brought about by the generalisation of electricity.

During the 1920s, Victor and Robert Baguès enlarged the bronze lighting collection of their father and created their own iron models: the range Baguès is composed of Parrots & Foliage chandeliers and wall sconces.

Since 1860, The Maison Baguès, has been located in the center of Paris and specialises in the creation of luxury lighting.

Early on, it became the emblem of French savoir-faire in lighting and wrought-iron work, along with French craftsmanship, which is highly valued internationally
