Probably from the reign of William III, this fine pair of oak high back chairs have arched crest rails which are repeated on the front stretchers, turned uprights and three slats to the backs with boarded recessed seats. The chairs are in excellent untouched condition including their toes and have superb rich dark colour and patination. Probably Welsh borders.
