A Fine Pair of Antique Giltwood Footstools in the Early Louis XV Manner.

Of eliptical form, constructed in carved gilt wood, the swept cabriole legs richly carved with foliates ad “C” scrolls, and pendant bellflowers are conjoined by stylised and shaped “H” form entretoises, having extensive foliate carvings, upholstered in new fabric.

French, Circa 1850.

The underframes bear old, but illegible inventory/collection labels.
