A fine late 18th/19th century Dutch marquetry display cabinet; this finely proportioned cabinet is a true miniature version of the flamboyant and highly decorative large cabinets popular throughout the 18th and 19th centuries in the Low Countries. The glazed upper section with its ogee-shaped moulded cornice and bold bombé base with three drawers on carved paw feet, is decorated throughout with inlaid floral leaf-trails on a golden walnut ground.
