Fine Decorative Four Colour Gold English Watch.

A fine early 19th Century English four colour gold decorative watch with matching dial.  Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement. Plain cock inscribed “Inventor & Fecit” on the table, diamond endstone.  Plain four arm polished steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Converted to English table roller lever escapement.  Fine gold dial, matted ground with applied gold decoration to the centre, applied gold  Roman numerals, serpentine gold hands. Attractive18 carat open face case with chased and engraved repousse middle, pendant ad bow.  Protected by a glazed cover the decoration on back still crisp.  Four colour gold back, the chased and engraved central foliate decoration surrounded by a similar border, maker’s mark “DW”

A fine and attractive watch which shows no signs of use aided by the glazing to the back.
