A very fine and unusual George IV Mug made in London in 1821 by Emes & Barnard.
The Mug is modelled in the unusual campana form and stands on a circular pedestal foot decorated with a band of foliate motifs.
The main body rises to an everted rim and displays a raised crisp band of trailing roses on a matted ground.
The handle is beautifully modelled as a serpent coiled around a branch.
The Mug displays a gilded interior and is fully marked on the side of the main body.
