An exceptionally fine quality late 18th century mahogany folding patience table. the top opening to reveal a surface of twice the size, supported on an apron which simulates a series of small drawers all the way round. Only the one end drawer operates and the drawer fronts to the side invisibly hinge to form supports for the open top. Raised on finely moulded square chamfered legs united towards the base by a pierced shaped cross-stretcher.
Provenance: With Witney antiques, Chelsea Antiques Fair 1982, and in a local private collect since.
