Figural Brass Candlestick, circa 1780.
A rare 18th century, figural brass candlestick in the Renaissance taste. The stem cast as a male caryatid, most likely Adam, holding the candlestick positioned on his head with one hand and a leaf protecting his modesty with the other. A broad low drip pan below on a tapering stepped trumpet turned base. Traces of gilding.
