Famille verte dish, Kangxi period (1662-1722).
With foliate rim, painted to the centre with a scene of equestrian warriors, foot soldiers and bannermen engaged in battle within a mountainous landscape with rocks and pine.
The rim with six panels containing scholar’s objects, peony and chrysanthemum with birds, and mythical beasts roaming among pine trees.
All divided by stylised sections of ruyi head, red cell-pattern and floral diaper. The base with an artemesia leaf within a double circle.
