THIS FINE AND RARE EARLY OAK HUTCH WAS DISCOVERED IN A FARMHOUSE IN THE VALLEYS NEAR LLANDEILO, SOUTH WALES.
IT CONSISTS OF A TWO PLANKED TOP WITH WIDE OVERHANG, ABOVE A CUPBOARD CARVED WITH A LINENFOLD PANEL, IT HAS ORIGINAL HINGES AND LOCK PLATE TO THE BACK OF THE DOOR.THE SIDE PANELS AND BACK PANEL AGAIN CARVED WITH HORIZONTAL LINENFOLD CARVING WHICH INDICATES THE HUTCH WOULD HAVE MOST PROBABLY STOOD IN A ROOM AS APPOSED TO AGAINST A WALL, SO THAT THE LINENFOLD PANELS COULD BE ADMIRED FROM ANY ANGLE.IT STANDS ON FOUR THICK LINE MOULDED LEGS APROX 4" THICK UNITED BY ITS ORIGINAL STRETCHERS.

THERE IS WEAR TO THE TIPS OF THE FEET BUT THE WHOLE IS A STUNNING COLOUR AND PATINATION.
