Interesting Early Georgian Mahogany Hall Seat - Bench-Settle, in the most unusual Sgabello fashion copying the design of the familiar single hall chair.
Extaordinary in its shape and construction and having the most wonderful untouched surface-patina. The Sgabello is a stool typical of the Italian Renaissance Period with the legs connected either by two boards or stretchers for support.
A most decorative piece - not seen before in my sixty years of collecting and dealing - and most suitable for the serious collector.
