These very rare Salt Cellars are cast and modelled as baskets, standing on four claw and ball feet, with ribbed legs. The main body is oval in form, with a dipping gadrooned rim and the sides are beautifully pierced and chased with foliate motifs, flower heads and scrolls.

The front of each Salt Cellar displays a raised laurel leaf cartouche containing a set of contemporary script initials. Each piece has an arched, twisted, carrying handle and blue glass liner with shaped rim. The Salts are inexcellent condition and are very well marked on the bases.

This design was first produced in the Hennell workshops, however very few were made in the basket form. As the Salts are cast, they are of the finest quality of production.
