An extremely rare English regency period twelve-light cut glass and ormolu mounted chandelier of the finest quality the shaft centred by a tapered slice and diamond cut stem piece surmounted by a drop hung ormolu palm tree spray this supporting tapered slice and diamond cut stem piece the shaft terminating with ormolu leaf decorated pan the main drop hung double ring decorated with flower heads anthemion and supporting twelve six sided candle arms with drop hung drip pans and slice cut candle nozzles the main ring also supporting a basket of half back chain pear shaped drop terminating with a leaf chased ormolu ring and lapidary cut finial.
