An extremely fine silver inlaid coffee table / tripod table attributed to the Armenian maker, Vortik Potikian Afyonkarahisar.
Turkey Cira 1900.
The silver inlaid octagonal top with central radiating ‘rosace’ framed by four borders of scrolling foliate budding vine leaves, raised on a slender baluster stem and sabre-legged tripod base with conforming sliver inlay.
Tables of this form are often attributed to the Armenian maker Vortik Potikian Afyonkarahisar.
This unusual table gueridon is in superb original condition and an extremely fine example of Vortik’s work.
