This piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse.
Silver by Peter & Jonathan Bateman is extremely rare and sought after.
They entered their first mark on 7th December, 1790, upon the retirement of Hester.
The partnership only lasted until 19th April, 1791, as Jonathan died.
His wife, Ann, then went into partnership with Peter Bateman.
