English Staffordshire Salt-glazed Stoneware Pair of Dishes.

1755-60.

Pottery.

The pair of dishes with press-moulded designs. The central roundel with alternating square panels of dots or stars. The wide borders with raised scrollwork with similar designs as well as basketweave.

Condition: One dish with a flake to the rim, see photo. Other dish with short line at edge of inner well which does not go through dish.

Provenance: Applied label from DM & P Manheim, NY.
