Pair of Georgian Painted Armchairs, Circa 1795.
A rather special and extremely rare pair of English late Sheraton early Regency period painted Salon Chairs in a wonderful original state - some refreshment to the paint might be required " according to taste " . Michael would prefer to leave as is ,others might wish to refresh .
Note .....A most unusual pair of larger scale than normal with the central panels showing one with a classical pictorial subject , the other a most entertaining and charming animal scene including an adorable Elephant with Lion .
Just purchased today ....hopefully some references will be revealed shortly .
English 1790 - 1805
