The pair of plates with a press molded border known as mosaic or basketweave with a shaped edge.

Reference: "White Salt-Glazed Stoneware of the British Isles", Diana Edwards and Rodney Hampson. Page 140, Colour Plate 120, for an identical plate excavated at Deer Street in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, now in the Strawbery Banke Museum, Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

The author notes that Mosiac plates such as there were mentioned as ealry as 1757 in a London advertisement, and by John Bowcock of Bow in 1756.
