A charming and very fine quality regency period rosewood Reading, or Lamp Table.

Having superbly figured oblong top with cross banded decoration and ratcheted centre section over one frieze drawer to front and false drawer to reverse.

Raised on elegant silhouette end supports terminating on sabre legs with original brass paw castors

This fine quality table has been constructed from the highest grade of rosewood which would have been available at the time.

Clearly from a good London workshop they have even used expensive mahogany for the interior drawer linings which not many workshops could afford to do.

A great useful and functional size, without being overpoweringly large this would be an excellent addition to almost any room of the especially with the added function of being able to be used as a simple but elegant lamp table with the ratchet down and book rest taken off.
