English brown stoneware puzzle jug of robust form, Late 18th century.

Dated: 1780 Derbyshire or Nottingham England.

This brown salt-glazed stoneware puzzle jug is large in stature and very strongly potted. The pitcher features three pouring spouts and is decorated at the body with squares, hearts, diamonds, and circular shapes.

The jug was purchased in 1986 at Sotheby's, Bond Street London.

Dimensions: 8.75 inches high.

Current Condition: No restoration and in good condition.

Provenance: Purchases at Sotheby's London in 1986.
