A Fine Quality Mid 19th Century Burr Walnut Pedestal
Desk Of Diminutive Proportions Having Attractive
Replaced Gilt Tooled Leather inset Top Over Nine
Drawers With Replaces Brass Handles Raised On
Original Plinth Base

( With superb and attractive burr walnut veneers, excellent
quality throughout, including mahogany drawer linings, and its
unusually small but practical size this desk is perfect for such
a huge variety of settings. 19th century desks can often vary
wildly in styles, sizes, finishes and quality and this is right up
there in the top bracket of all the above. The brass handles
are relatively recent replacements but sit most happily and
work extremely well in situ. The desk does of course come
apart into three sections (top and two pedestals) for both
ease of transport and getting into tight spots in small houses.)
