Empire Style, 1901, Schiedmayer grand piano with a quarter cut mahogany case. Entire cabinet features ormolu mounts of beading, rosettes, wreaths, bows and festoons.
Rinceaux, rosettes, stringed bellflowers and beading accent the cabinet architecture. Festoons of swagged flowers, fluttering ribbons and bows decorate the piano tail. Above the piano fall sits an intricate ormolu mount depicting a festoon of flowers, a wreath and ancients musical instruments.
The openwork music desk features a repeating interlocking oval design. The piano lyre is a traditional shape design with two sunflower ormolu accents. The turned, fluted, tapered piano legs feature strings of ormolu bellflowers.
