Elegant Kashan Carpet signed 'Isfahanian'.

Antique Kashan carpets rank as one of the finest of all Persian weavings. The city of Kashan was the centre of fine rug creation during the 16th century Safavid period and some of the best classical pieces are attributed to it. High category pieces were woven during the 19th and early of the 20th centuries.

This attractive Kashan Carpet is signed by a well known workshop 'Isfahanian' who created during its generation high category furnishing pieces.

The ivory field compliments the well drawn overall pattern and the array of colour composition including light blue, green & soft red.

In very good practical condition for every day use, still retaining its original borders and fringes on all sides.

A highly decorative example that is pleasantly wider than other pieces of similar length.
