Edwardian Black Opal and Diamond Ring circa 1920.

A beautiful Edwardian black opal ring.

The ring with a central oval cabochon opal with a small diamond set to each side.

The black opal is finely 6 claw mounted with the diamonds in a fine rub over platinum milgrain border.

The ring has tapered shoulders onto a plain shank and is low set to the finger typical of the era.

The black opal is an excellent colour with a strong play of 'fire'.

Era: Edwardian, 1901 - 1920.

Ring Size:  M (UK) 6.5 (US) 53 (EUR) This ring can be resized by our goldsmith at no extra cost.

Hallmarks: Unmarked - tests as platinum and 18ct gold.

Opal estimated 0.70 carats, exceptional colour with slight abraisions to surface consistent with age. Total diamond weight estimated 0.18 carats
