Early Meissen teapot and cover painted with a very detailed continuous harbour scene with merchants, ships and distant landscapes.

A bearded masked head at the base of the spout and intricate gilded ‘scroll work’ on the shoulders of the teapot with a kakiemon inspired painted handle

Early crossed swords mark Gilder’s mark 28 to base of the pot under the crossed swords mark which can be seen in different light and inside the cover. 

Drehers mark of an incised x in the foot rim.
