Dating to the late 16th century, this highly decorative tapestry panel depicts a mounted king on a beautifully drawn horse and a praying queen in the foreground. The background features an army of soldiers carrying lances, set in a woodland scene.
The tapestry is worked in wool and silk, with some repairs and patches in keeping with age.
