Early 19th Century Mahogany Bowfront Dressing Table.

A Very Good Quality Early 19th Century, George III Period, Mahogany Bowfronted Dressing Table Having Well Figured Top Over One Long And Two Short Drawers With Later Brass Knobs, To Attractive Arched Frieze Flanked By Rounded Corners, Raised On Fine Elegant Turned Tapering Legs.

A well proportioned early 19th century dressing table which is constructed using good quality, rich mahogany timbers and has both real presence and real elegance. The elegance is certainly enhanced by the incredibly fine turned tapering legs.

Despite being replacements these brass knobs sit extremely well on the table and are probably as old as the table themselves so very much in keeping and natural on the piece.

Of course despite being described as a dressing table this antique table would also suit a huge variety of other purposes around the home and is effectively actually a very attractive Georgian side table.

Overall the condition is very good with just a few minor, historic old marks and scratches as one would expect to find on an item of this age. These have now blended in with the overall patina of the piece of course and therefore there is no significant defects of any kind worthy of special mention.

As with all items which we offer for sale this piece has been inspected and attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled, trained specialist antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish before being offered for sale to ensure it is in its best possible condition before being offered for sale.
