Early 19th Century Gilt Candlesticks.

A pair of fine early 19th century gilt candlesticks converted to lamps without interference to the candlesticks.

The original gilding is decorated with a finely detailed acanthus and stylized flower motif. Circa 1830.

These lamps are small in scale but can be used equally effectively either end of a larger piece of furniture as on an occasional table or dressing table.

Measurements:

Height of candlestick 10 inches or 26 centimetres.
Height including the silk coolie shades 20 inches or 51 centimetres.
Diameter of base 5 inches or 12.50 centimetres.
