Early 18th century North Italian walnut commode.
Italy, 1700-1740.
The serpentine front on this magnificent commode is sophisticated and gives it gravitas. It has a rich colour and lustrous patina and has come from a private collection, Semenzato Venezia.
The rectangular serpentine top in two sections. The serpentine front fitted with three drawers, each with two moulded panels and replaced brass handles and escutcheons. Standing on a bracket foot base.
Medium: Walnut.
