This work is accompanied by a letter from the artist stating: ‘6 Jan /49, This picture of daisies was brought to me today and I beg to state that it is my work and is signed by me D,Grant /46, Duncan Grant.

Painter and decorative artist, designer for the theatre and of pottery and textiles. Grant attended the Slade School of Art before moving to Paris where he met Matisse. Associated with the Bloomsbury Group. Lived at Charleston, Sussex. Exhibited widely.
