Donald McIntyre (1923-2009)
A painter of landscapes and coastal views, McIntyre’s work is of wide appeal. Adopted as both a Scottish and a Welsh artist, he painted both countries with equal enthusiasm. However, his home and his heart were in Wales and it was there that he had a long series of solo exhibitions, starting at Howard Roberts Gallery in Cardiff, 1965-6 and later with Thackeray Gallery, from 1969.
