About the object

A mid 18th century Derby porcelain leaf shaped sauce boat in polychrome colours and a loop handle. The body of the boat is shallowly moulded, the loop handle terminating as the stem of the leaf joins to a sprig of leaves and florets with a moulded bud. The edge of the foot rim is painted in apple green and is decorated with small groups of garden flowers in natural colours and several sprigs of flowers slightly painted.
