About the object

An attractive and colourful early 19th century Derby porcelain plate painted by the artist Dodson.  The plate has a gilded framed squared centre panel depicting a selection of finely painted exotic birds in a landscape setting.  The rim has a gilded border and overall the plate has a ground colour of pale blue.
