About the object

An 18th century Derby porcelain barrel shaped and ribbed cider mug finely painted in polychrome colours of small sprigs and sprays of English garden summer flowers.  The loop handle with a rib down the centre, painted on the side with a spray of heartsease.  The soft clear cream paste is covered by a soft transparent glaze.
