Delft pottery plate named and dated John and Elizabeth Haslope Yarmouth 1743.

Dated: 1743 Netherlands.

The plate is tin glaze delftware decorated in blue and white with a central ornamental and elaborate cartouch with the names of John and Elizabeth Haslope Yarmouth and the date 1743.

The cartouche is surrounded by three fish, undoubtedly indicating the association with the sea of the couple whom this plate may have been made for as a marriage gift.

Diameter: 8.75 inches.

Current Condition: The plate is in very good order with no restoration and only minor signs of wear relating to age.
